Koufman’s Reflux Test Strips will test for GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease) and LPR (laryngopharyngeal reflux), aka “silent reflux.” These test strips will revolutionize the diagnosis of reflux and will help manage many reflux-related conditions. The basis for the test is detection of pepsin, an enzyme  that is only found in the stomach. The test is easy to perform. The patient simply spits into a small cup, and a test strip is placed into the saliva.  The results are read within 10 minutes.
